Maisie Shine Villain

First off, sorry the pictures aren't amazing. It has been rainy and cloudy for the past couple days. I haven't found the best place to take pictures in my house so I tried to make my own light-box. It involved white paper and scotch tape, very fancy lol!!
Below I have a polish from a newer indie polish maker. Maisie Shine Villain is a black base with silver, black and purple glitter. This is one coat over Man Glaze Carbon. The polish went on smooth and I didn't have any problems with the glitter. It did dry pretty quickly (which if you read on a regular basis is a big plus for me). It didn't dry super shiny. Again this doesn't bother me. I topped it with a coat of Gelous and SV.

Review: Cult Nail Wicked Fast (Speed Dry Top Coat)

I should have done a review on this a long time ago. Cult Nails Wicked Fast is a fast dry top coat (duh wicked fast)....And it is pretty awesome! The formula is thinner than, lets say, Seche Vite. A problem I have with SV, is it being stringy.....okay and thick and cloudy and shrinks my manicure. Cults Nails doesn't have any of these problems. It leaves my mani shiny and bubble free. It doesn't have the dry time on the website but I'm comfortable doing simple tasks after about five minutes (typing for example). I liked it so much that I scraped the bottom! It's worth the 8$ and lasted me roughly 3 months.

The only reason you may see me use SV as a topcoat in any of my posts is because I have so much of it left. I bought a big refill bottle.
I plan on buying some more Wicked Fast in BULK! I would definitely recommend trying this.

Until next time,

Nail Inc. Baker Street. Amazing bright cobalt blue. This is with two coats and topped with SV (which made it bubble, bummer).

Thank You!!

I just want to say a big THANK YOU!!! To all of the wonderful, positive comments and emails I've received over the past few days. I was surprised how many people this reached. Enjoy this picture of my cat Penelope, she is incredibly lazy and kind of a bitch (I love her to death)!

To everyone else who called me an uneducated idiot because I like to use the word fuck (uh oh I did it again)...

Thanks again!

*WARNING EXPLICIT POST* Shut Up (Very Opinionated Blog Post *Warning*). *DON'T READ IF YOU HAVE SENSITIVE EYES*

In response to comments seen on FB and MUA regarding small indie polish companies and small nail polish web dealers....

I am sick and tired of all the shit I keep seeing on Facebook and Makeupalley. People whining and fucking bitching all the fucking time. I constantly see 'I sent you an e-mail a couple hours ago...you haven't responded'. Oh, I love when they add 'and I know you are really busy but....'. Are fucking serious, have fucking patience.  (and if you are tired of me saying the word fuck...go the fuck away). 'I placed an order last night and would like to add a polish' or 'I made two orders in the past twelve hours can you combine them and give me a discount on shipping'...can you not fucking read the polices on the website (most companies have stopped combining the shipping in these instances because it is a pain in the fucking ass). Are you blind...I have an old pair of glasses if you need them. Speaking of polices, I see these listed on websites and on Facebook. I love when I see someone ask a question that has been answered five times. It's called a fucking mouse....use it to scroll down on FB and see if you can find your answer, and if not then take that fucking mouse and use it to check the website...Can't find your answer....ah then ask. Do people not have critical thinking skills (nursing reference).

I feel 99% of the time, I never say anything...or respond to anything...but like I said...I'm tired of the bitching, whining and fucking bashing. I like this post below

'Another crash. This is absurd. I seriously spent twenty minutes logging in three times and re-entering my billing info because it apparently refused to accept that ive signed up before. And then it crashes. Please do wishlists or pre-orders - this is the second time I've lost a good chunk of time to this. Thanks.'

Hey guess what, it was 'you' who decided to waste your time. I love seeing those posts on FB 'This company sucks, I spent 2 hours refreshing'. Are you a fucking IT person? Do you know what it takes. I am not in IT but my husband is we've had some discussions on this subject.

I like examples! Do you?

So, my husband recently bought a video game for PC. A very popular game I might add, a little something called Diablo. He was excited (just like I am when I know I have nail mail coming). The server crashed within 10 minutes of him trying to start. This is the same fucking server that World of Warcraft uses. Fucking World of Warcraft. That's a huge game (10.2 millions subscribers....yeah I fucking googled it). Guess what, it crashed two more times in 24 hours. My husband was disappointed but he wasn't emailing the company....'I can't believe this, you wasted my time....my life is over....wahhhhhhh!!!!'.

Let the companies do their thing!!! To the smaller nail polish web dealers and indie polish makers....SHIT I don't know how you do. I wish FB had a bitch slap button. This whole indie polish thing is still new and growing. There will bumps and kinks along the way. I honestly believe if you have the patience you will get what you want.

Now...The one sentence that just made my fucking blood boil, put me over the edge, and having to put 50$ in the 'no cursing jar'. I was trying to find some information on the nail boards on MUA regarding stamping and came across this little comment...

i'm wondering if she just made one last crappy batch that didn't cost her much money, sold them, and disappeared with the money.

This was on MUA and they were talking about NerdLacquer. Go fuck yourself, yep I said it! Yeah I bet she went to fucking Mexico. YOU HAVE NO IDEA WHAT IS GOING TO MAKE THOSE KIND OF STATEMENTS.

I recently bought an indie polish. I was very disappointed with the application...I tried some things to make the formula better (haven't used it again to see if it worked). I wasn't going to say anything until I received my second order to compare. But then I got an email about 10 hours later form the seller letting me know that she knew there was a problem with the polish and offered me a refund. She fully admitted that she did not test long enough and was going to work on the formula. I got a refund for the polish AND shipping. Dude, fucking kudos to her. That took some serious balls. I commend her for that.

Okay, I just word vommited all over my blog. I have nothing left and I won't say anything else about this matter. If you read this and want to fucking complain....Let me remind you.....I WARNED YOU IN THE TITLE!!!!!!! (Are you sure you don't want those old glasses I was talking about?).

Until next time,
I hope some of you jackasses spill your polish all over your carpet!!!!

Nautical Nonsense by AmyNailBoutique

Another indie polish for everyone today. This was my first purchase from AmyNailBoutique. Okay, seriously, I had shipping confirmation within 20 minutes of placing my order! Nautical Nonsense is a matte white and blue glitter in a clear base. I was super creative and put it over white (haha). I used two coats of Nautical Nonsense. It spread easily and dried quickly. I was drawn to this one because of the matte glitter. I'm really liking that right now.
In the picture below you can see the white glitter. The combinations for this will be endless.

Sally Hansen Salon Manicure Cuticle Eraser + Balm

I have a review today on Sally Hansen Salon Manicure Cuticle Eraser + Balm. I bought this purely because it was swirly and green. Way to bait me in Sally Hansen, you sneaky devil!

What it claims...
Combination remover and creme quickly eliminates excess, ragged cuticles & hangnails as it conditions nails and cuticles. The result is instantly, healthy, beautiful, conditioned cuticles that look up to 80% smoother.
2-in-1 formula with white tea & cucumber gently & quickly loosen & exfoliates stubborn, overgrown cuticles while leaving skin feeling deeply moisturized.
Helps prevent hangnails and promotes healthy nail growth.
Directions from Sally Hansen website
Massage a small amount into cuticles until completely absorbed. Use a cuticle pusher, if needed to help further loosen hard to remove cuticles. Use daily for maximum benefits. Wash hands before applying polish.

So...I really enjoy this stuff. It has a mild cucumber smell. It does a great job at moisturizing. I hate when certain moisturizers make my hands/nails feel like I dipped them in oil. Not with this! It's creamy and massages into the skin quickly. My cuticles have this nice clean feeling afterwards. I massage the balm into my cuticles and then I use a cuticle pusher. I then massage any excess product back into my cuticles. It is good to use everyday, quick and effective. One thing I really like is that it is a cuticle remover but it is not harsh. I've used some products that dry my nails out. I'll definitely purchase this again.
Hope you enjoyed.

Until next time,

Ouch! SOB! Ouch! (Graphic Naked Nail Warning)

As I mentioned on my FB page, my nails became really dry because I have been painting in my house. It doesn't help that I'm a server and nurse...Constantly washing and using sanitizer on my hands. Some of my cuticles tore and I accidentally stabbed my pinkie while reaching into my purse (on a stupid bobby pin!). I decided to show you guys how I aid in the healing process (remember this is what helps ME and I just wanted to share. Everyone has their own process).
WARNING NAKED NAIL (LOL!!)

OUCH!

All I use is antibacterial ointment on my torn cuticles and wrap them in band aids while I sleep. This is a prescription that I have but you can use something like Neosporin or a generic version. Simple enough and really helps. If this has happened to you, do you notice that the finger will swell? Freakin' hurts!!

Until next time,
Don't spill your polish:)

PS: While my cuticles heal, I'm going to do a few reviews on different nail items.

Lynnderella Bibbitty, Bobbitty, Boo Blue (BBBB)

I had to bust out these archived photos because I've been painting my bathroom and my hands are a mess!! When I took these I was messing with the setting on my camera, trying different angles, and lighting.
I used 2 coat of OPI Swimsuit...Nailed It. I then used 2 coats of Lynnderella BBBB. I topped everything off with Seche Vite!

Enjoy the old school photos!

Lush Lacquer Party Rockin'

I did some more layering, this time using Lush Lacquers Party Rockin'. First I used 2 coats of Hits Zeus (I haven't used it since the first time I received and it sure became thick and goopy) and topped that with 1 coat of Party Rockin' (anyone else now have that song from LMFAO stuck in their head?). As you can see from the pictures below the glitter is a variety of colors and shapes. It's like I threw confetti on my hands.

The glitter was very easy to spread and dried pretty fast. I topped everything off with one coat of Cult Nails Wicked Fast. It was nice and smooth after that. I'm glad I used it over a grayish/black because the colors really popped!

Floam....And Welcome!!

First of all......holy shit!!! Welcome new followers. What an awesome thing to wake up to. I've been reading your responses to the question 'what is your favorite nail polish' and have seen this color come up a new times. Floam was created by Nail-Venturous (currently her shop is closed). It is a neon blue/yellow/green glitter in a clear base. It's supposed to look like.....well duh floam!!

I actually tried to wear this a few weeks ago. I used the polish alone and before I could take pictures I peeled it off (bad, bad yes I know). So this time I used 2 coats of Floam over 1 coat of China Glaze DV8. I topped everything off with Cult Nails Wicked Fast.
Floam is very thick and dries fast. I think this makes it hard to work with. Is it worth it? Yeah, when I wore it the first time I received a ton of compliments. It seems to make people reminiscence to the 90's lol.

Just be patient while working with it! A ton of different combinations are possible with this color. Oh and PS: I'm scared to take this one off!

Until next time,

I love my bubble wrap and will ship very securely. With that being said, I can not be responsible for what happens when the items are shipped.

A while back I ordered from Pretty and Polished. A color was missing from order. Wasn't a big deal. When my polish did arrive Chels included a custom polish!! I was shocked by the gesture. It made my day:) Check out the layering I did below.

I used 2 coats of China Glaze Virtual Violet and 2 coats of the custom Pretty and Polished (it doesn't have a name). It's like she read my mind on what I like in a nail polish color. I see silver, blue and purple!!

LushLacquer Birthday Cake

Another indie brand for you today! They are popping up all over the web.  Here I have LushLacquer Birthday Cake. It is a white base with multi colored glitter. You can even see tiny areas where there is some bar glitter. It was a little thick but workable. The 2 coats I used dried relatively quick. I used 2 coats of Cult Wicked Fast to really smooth out that glitter. The best part...I took this picture after wearing it for three days. I think it still looks like a day 1 mani.

I Had To Post About This!!

I've had a shitty week. I mean shitty! Has that happened to you guys? On week is super awesome and amazing (for example I graduated last week) and the next week is like a dog pissed on your face (it's 3am first thing that popped in my brain). So you're having your shitty week and something happens that just kind of tops it off, puts you over the edge. We'll use my example...
So I ordered the Too Faced Primed and Poreless Pure from Sephora. It sounded perfect for my awesome oily/acne full skin. As my crappy week continues I hear the doorbell this afternoon and got excited! My Sephora package is here! I start opening everything. I got to the Too Faced box...shake shake...uh this feels really, really light. I take the tube out of the box...whoa really light...unscrew the cap...freakin completely empty! I squeezed air onto my finger lol! At this point I was like 'go figure'! I'll be calling them tomorrow!

Kismet's Pajamas

I have a lovely polish for you today. Kismet's Pajamas by Whimsical Ideas by Pam (which is named after her cat).
Where to start...So many amazing aspects about it.

Let's start with the bottle. Look at this! It's beautiful! The label, the bow, the freakin' bottle itself. Not only is it gorgeous but it's also professional! You can tell Pam takes her time here. Now to the polish...

Natural Sunlight
Kismet is a black jelly base with silver and pink glitter. It was very easy to apply and the glitter smoothed on evenly. It was opaque in 2 coats and dried relatively quick. I topped it with Cult Nail Wicked Fast.

Artificial Light
Seriously, go check out her Facebook page for more pictures and ordering information. I'm so impressed by her talent and professionalism! She has a customer for life!

China Glaze Midnight Mission

Midnight Mission came out in the Vintage Vixen collection back in 2010. It is a deep blue with a metallic/foil finish. It seemed everyone was raving about this one when it came out. Don't shoot me...Not a huge fan. It doesn't perk me up, get me excited or really illicit any feeling at all. I actually wanted to take it off as soon as I put it on...AGAIN my opinion!

I added a little Kleancolor Chunky Holo BlueBell to the ring and middle finger for fun. Not bad I suppose.
