How many layers can one person wear on their nails......11? That's what is going on here!

Yesterday I did a post on Dollish Polish Barry. I decided to layer Lacquistry Golf Socks over it. I think I was being lazy and didn't want to do the process of removing the glitter polish! I added three coats of Golf Socks. It's a really cool polish. Look at all that glitter.

Dollish Polish Does Barry Manilow Know You Raid His Wardrobe?

The longest name for a polish lol! I love it. Did you guys know the name comes from a quote from the Breakfast Club. Great movie. So lets call this Barry...Barry is a metallic pewter with different sized silver glitter. The formula was great considering the amount of glitter. It smoothed out perfectly. I only needed two coats and I thought it dried a little dull. I used Out The Door for the topcoat which doesn't really add a ton of shine. 

I've decided I will know longer show my pointer finger in photos. I think it looks funny so...crop, crop and crop:) Also excuse the cuticles. I picked at them furiously while taking my test yesterday:(

Missed Happy Holo Monday:(

This week is nuts...biggest test tomorrow, 23% of my grade. I've been studying all day with a small nap so I forgot to take pictures of my manicure. I don't know if I'll post that much this week at all. After 23% test I have a 4 hour test of Wednesday and a paper to write by Friday which is when I start my awesome 7pm-7am shifts at the hospital!! Nursing school is going to give me a stroke....

NerdLacquer I Think You Call Me...Sexy

Another amazing polish from NerdLacquer. You Call Me...Sexy is a royal blue with silver iridescent and holographic glitter. Plus you can see some large silver hexagonal glitter.
This is another win from NL! I used three coats ( could have used two ) and the glitter smoothed and layed nicely. I topped it off with Cult Nails Wicked Fast top coat.

Flakey Friday

Below we have another flakey manicure. I really like how this one turned out! I used two coats of Manic Panic Blood Thirsty (purple shimmer) followed by two coats of Hits Can Can (purple base with green and blue flakies). 

This was my first time using Manic Panic. I really liked the formula, it went on smooth and even. I especially enjoyed the brush. It was stiff but spread the polish well. I hope you guys are enjoying this new theme for Fridays.

Lynnderella Nosegay

Nosegay is a very light purple base with several shapes and sizes of purple glitter. This is four coats topped with Lynnderella Glitter Tamer and Cult Nails Wicked Fast.

Kat Von D: Mad Max

I was really excited when I noticed Sephora having the Kat Von D nail polish. I passed them up, actually quite a few times. I finally saw them in the store and bought two of them. Here we have Mad Max. It's a glittery, glass flecked sapphire and in certain lights you can see a hint of purple. It was very cloudy today so I couldn't capture it. 

This was on the sheer side. Normally I don't mind but I feel like I still had some bald spots after using three coats. Besides that the color is wonderful and it dried quickly! I hope that Kat Von D will put out more nail polish.

Happy Holo Monday (Hits Hera)

A few days ago I decided to start Flakey Friday. Well Monday's can suck too so I decide to have Happy Holo Monday!! Who doesn't want to start the week with a Holo! Here we have  HITs Hera from the No Olimpo collection. This is a green/teal holo. I think it came out more teal in my pictures. Formula applies with no problem but the brush was a little wonky.

My Paddy's day manicure was very simple. I used Cult Nails Toxic Seaweed as the base and used UP colors Base on the tips. It's kind of hard to tell.

Flakey Friday (Whoops)...

So this post was supposed to be up a 7am but I forgot to hit the publish button...Whoops!! I decided to have a theme for Fridays and Mondays. As you can see it's Flakey Friday!! Super cheesy right!? Below is Pretty and Polished Midnight Rider with Cult Nails Clairvoyant (Unicorn Puke!) on top. I know the pictures are not that great but it was cloudy out and I tried to take them in the bathroom. Also I hate taking pictures of this hand. It's my left hand but also it's my 'I'm stressed/nervous so I'm going to pick at my cuticles' hand. It's such a hard habit to break.

Pretty and Polished Midnight Rider

Another amazing polish from Pretty and Polished...Midnight Rider. This is a darkened purple base with square purple glitter. This is two coats topped with Sally Hansen Insta-Dry.

Pretty and Polished Jawbreaker

While I was at work today I had 5 people grab my hand...all because of this baby below!
Pretty and Polished Jawbreak is a white base with multi-colored glitter. I'm speechless...It's hard to describe how perfect this polish is. This is 3 coats topped with Sally Hansen Inta-Dry (check out the review HERE). Even without the top coat this polished dried pretty fast.

Pretty and Polished has an Etsy store which you can check out HERE. It is currently open with some stock. It does close from time to time so she can get caught up or make some more polish. So patience is key:)

NerdLacquer The Quantum Bluniverse

NerdLacquer is such a great independent brand. I was very lucky to be able to snag up Quantum Bluniverse which is part of the NerdCrush Trio. Amanda sells this over in her Etsy store. It is currently closed because she is super busy!! 1500 bottle of polish in 18 hours. WAY TO GO. 

Bluniverse is a colbalt blue with gold/royal blue glitter and a golden-green flash. It is the  perfect consistency and the glitter spread evenly. I only needed two coats and it dried in decent time. 

Picture heavy because of the awesome-ness 

If you can, definitely try one of these for yourself. I think there is a color for everyone!

Below I have the awesome Nawsome Sauce from ManGlaze. It is a dark green matte. I love this brand (as I've said before). Of course it dries fast (I was a little excited and still smudged it a bit trying to eat some cereal). Take it in people!! You can check them out here and buy them here.

Opposites Attract

I recently did a little layering combo. We have Lacquistry Lake Placid on Acid, a green/teal/blue glitter bomb over ManGlaze Ilf. Ilf is a light matte teal.

I love both of these colors. The only problem I had was that they turned my nails YELLOW!! Now part of it was my fault. I happen to not have used a base coat that day. Oh well!
