I Really Needed This!!

Thank you Orly Mineral FX 2011. I was feeling in a rut when it came to choosing a polish. I have painted my nails the past couple days but I was like 'meh'. Not good enough to blog. I pass many Sally Beauty Supply stores sometimes and went into one today just for fun. They had the Mineral FX collection. Yay!!
Showing here is Rock Solid. It is a gunmetal grey with shimmer. I also see multi-colored glitter in it too. The formula was great. Not to thick and not to thin. I only need two coats and it dried pretty quickly.

This picture here, I believe you can see the colored glitter a lot better!
I bought another polish from the Mineral FX which I am also very excited to share with you guys!
Until next time,

Illamasqua Kink

Illamasqua Kink is a deep, rich forest green. It has a cream finish and the formula was amazing. I love it when creams are easy to apply. I used two coats and topped with S.V.

Models Own Betty Blue

I think my nails are growing very well and are getting long! If you feel the nail bed though you can feel where the healthy starts and then icky part of the nail ends (where I had my solar nails). I'm being patient! Keeping my hands moisturized is a hard task. I have to wash my hand constantly since I am a server. I do have special OPI hand lotion I use but that only goes so far....enough rambling.

Here we have Models Own Betty Blue. It a nice deeper blue ( the second picture shows the true color better. I only needed three coats. The formula was amazing. Sometimes I get frustrated with creams. They can be streaky and hard to make it look smooth.

It was a process to get my polishes here. I had a coupon for 50% because of some facebook thing. I ordered fifteen. I never received a confirmation that my package was sent and since I believe they are over in the UK I was being patient. By week six...I was like what's up? Sent an email...then another....then another. Finally they let me know that my package was lost and they would sending another. So four more weeks later they were!! I am hesitant to order again. But they do have some intriguing colors!

Focus Brand: Deborah Lippmann Lady Sings The Blues

Deborah Lippmann never fails me. The only colors I own though are the glitters. Which are freaking amazing. Totally worth the coin!! Here we have Lady Sings The Blues. It is a darker blue base with lighter blue glitter. Small glitter, large glitter, hexagonal glitter, and round glitter...glitter, glitter and more glitter:) She does a wonderful job. I only had to use two coats and it was opaque. You do have to manipulate the glitter a little bit so you can get it all over your nail. I hope you guys like this as much as I do.

Focus Brand: Deborah Lippmann Ruby Red Slippers

I feel like every polish company has come out with something like this. Ruby Red is a black base with chunky/hexagonal/round glitter. I only needed two coats to be opaque. This first picture really shows the glitter well. I really love this because of the chunky glitter.

In the next picture you can see the black base very well.

Again, sorry I was MIA. I was trying to let my nails breath and tried some growing serum. I can tell where the healthy part starts!! I'm getting excited!

Quick Note

I might not post for a couple days. I kinda picked the crap out of my cuticles one night while at work....so I'm going to let them heal for a bit. I'll be back!
If you have any advice on how to get my cuticles back to health, I would love to hear!

China Glaze Lubu Heels

China Glaze Lubu Heels is a black base with fine, red glitter. It's a great color that I have reached for multiple times. I used three coats and topped with SV.

This color is based on the awesome shoes by Christian Louboutin.

Ahhh....Glitter Envy

Color Club Green Envy is up for random polish of the day. It is from the 2011 Wicked Temptress collection. This color is a bright, bright neon green with lots of glitter. The formula is a little thick but managable. When dry the glitter can feel a little gritty so I would definitely suggest a topcoat.

I would definitely suggest grabbing a least one color from this collection! They are just so different and awesome. Color Club wow's me again!

China Glaze Paper Chasing

Random color of the day...Paper Chasing from the China Glaze Custom Kicks collection. This is an extremely bright/deep lime green.
This was on the sheer side so I had to use three coats. Do you see the bubbles? I'm pretty sure it was my base coat, not the color itself. This definitely catches people's eye!

Sinful Colors See You Soon

Random color of the day....Sinful Colors See You Soon. It is a dark base with shimmer which makes it look like a darker teal. Formula on this was watery and thin. Sometimes it could be a little tricky to work with.
For the price (1.99$) it's not a bad color. I have a couple more in my stash that I need to try.

Milani Dress Maker

Random polish of the day is...Milani Dress Maker. I bought this one because it's suppsosed to be a dupe for Chanel Jade. I don't have Jade to compare it to but when I looked at swatches online, this does seem like a decent match.

Okay, I think the formula sucked (sorry). It was watery and streaky. I needed to use four coats. I ended up smudging it a bit because it took forever to dry (even with SV).
It is a great color and I will probably wear it again as long as I have the patience that day to deal with the formula.
Until next time,
Don't spill your polish:)
