Zoya Charla

Sorry for the delay in a posts. It has been 14 DAYS!!! I had a ton of wedding stuff to do and then I worked way more than usual. When I decided to paint my nails again I decided to let my solar nails grow out a bit and then I took them off. Boy that is always a pain. After messing with them for a couple days my real nails shined through.

So in the upcoming pictures showing off Zoya's Charla...these are my natural nails. I really like the length so far.

Charla can be described as a
tropical blue sparkling metallic. I think it is similar to OPI Catch Me In Your Net. I should have done a comparison. I used three coats and it dried decently until I put on my Seche Vite top coat. I think this might have cracked my top ten favorites!!
Until next time,

OPI Planks A Lot & OPI Silver Shatter

This is the second color I received from the OPI Pirates collection. Planks A Lot is a light pastel purple with a cream finish. I wanted to post this yesterday but blogger was being a butt.

So then I had to try the OPI Silver Shatter!!!

I thought it cracked nicely. I like that the purple has enough to show through. I'm having a hard time comparing OPI shatter to the China Glaze shatter. I like that OPI has the shimmer silver, while China Glaze is a cream crackle. I might have to check out more of the OPI Shatters.
Until next time,

OPI Mermaid Tears

Drool....So when I first saw the Pirates collection from OPI, I didn't think it was going to be anything special. I still picked up two colors and the silver shatter. This one is Mermaid Tears.
It is a soft pastel sage green with a cream finish. I love this color!! I'm a sucker for creams anyways...I think this will get many wears this summer!
I plan on putting the swatch of the other color I got tonight. The silver shatter is the first I own from OPI. We'll see how it compares to the China Glaze shatters.
Until next time,

Zoya Indigo

Here we have Zoya Indigo. It is a dark indigo (duh lol :) ) with shimmer and a touch of micro-glitter. This came out in Zoya's Downtown collection.
This is one of the colors that I received during Zoya's Earth day promotion!! Not going to lie but this color didn't rock my world. I would wear it again, but not something I'm going to reach for frequently.

Until next time,
Don't spill your polish:)

Color Club Red Velvet

Hmmm, I think I've seen this color somewhere before:) Color Club Red Velvet does look similar to China Glaze Lubu Heels. A black base with red glitter. I don't know if it was the way I put it on but I feel like I had quite a bit of red glitter.
I only needed three coats and I topped it with the ever popular Seche Vite. I felt that the first coat of polish was a little sheer but definitely buildable. I think I should have used a second coat of the Vite to give it more shine.
You'll have to excuse the mark on my cuticle on my middle finger. No it's not smeared polish:) I just had one heck of a hang nail.
Until next time,

China Glaze Purple Panic

So, I'm not usually into the pinks but I was over at Josie's Nails and saw this post. All of a sudden I was like 'must have this polish'!. So a big thank you to Josie!
I'm not quite sure why this is called Purple Panic...Um how about Holy Cow Neon Pink!
So it is more pink, I think. It dries matte so I used two coats and topped with Seche Vite. The top coat definitely added some nice shine.

I'm definitely going to get my hands on some more neon colors!
Until next time,

Illamasqua Force

My collection of Illamasqua polishes has definitely started to grow. Sephora had a 15% off for VIB's and I used my coupon to stock up on these awesome polishes. Here we have the color Force. Now I plan explaining my manicure as we continue. As of right now it's kind of fugly.
Alright here we go. First in true life the color is more blue (on Sephora's website they say that it is a deep electric blue). I only had to use two coats and I topped with of course Seche Vite. I did not have a problem with it being to thick or thin. For a cream finish it was not streaky. Drying time was decent before my topcoat.

Ok some of you by now might be looking at my nails like 'uh those kind of suck'. I decided to post this because after my day, Illamasqua proved itself.
Here is what i did today. I did the dishes, washed pots and pan, cleaned kitchen counters with that clorox bleach stuff. I scrubbed my microwave with a Mr. Clean Eraser (um that thing is awesome!). Then I moved onto the bathroom. Again more cleaning scrubbing, dusting, cleaning the floor with my hand before using my swiffer.
So you can see there is less shine and minor tip wear. Also a few dents and scratches. After all the chemicals and water I used, I was very impressed with Illamasqua wear.
Until next time,
Don't spill your polish:)
