OPI My Private Jet

I finally got my hands on OPI My Private Jet. Unfortunately it is not the original holo. I still wanted it though. It's supposed to be a brown/charcoal holo. The newer version doesn't really have a holo effect like I said. It's still pretty cool!!!
Maybe someday I'll splurge and get the original version.

A Couple More China Glaze Island Escape

Alright, I have two more colors from the China Glaze Island Escape Collection. The first one here is Cha Cha Cha. It is a green with bright yellow shimmer. This is a pretty sheer color. This is three coats. It dries at a decent time without a drying topcoat.
The next color is Senorita Bonita (These names are silly but fun lol). It is a purple with pink shimmer. Again, also sheer and I used three coats.
Ok guys, I need some feedback! What do you think of my pictures? I am really anal about and want to make sure I'm putting out some good ones? Honest feedback!!

China Glaze Blue Iguana

I was so excited when my package came from Head2Toe. My China Glaze Island Collection was here! This is the first color I busted out. Blue Iguana is a bright blue with blue shimmer. I thought it was on the sheer side and I needed three thicker coats. I don't mind sheer, thinner polishes. I feel I can work with them better.

This is definitely a good set for summer. Nice, bright, and fun. I can't wait to try 108 degrees on my toes!! I realized that after I placed my order for this collection that I needed a bunch of other stuff...and another order placed. Does that happen to anyone else?

Color Club Wink, Wink, Twinkle

Color Club Wink, Wink, Twinkle was the color I used for my Easter Day mani. This is from their Starry Temptress collection. Sorry for the day late post. I was so busy yesterday and didn't get home till 1 A.M. :( Wink, Wink is a neon purple with what looks like silver glitter. There is a ton of glitter in this polish which is fantastic. It wasn't super bumpy when it dried but I would definitely use a top coat. This is my first experience with Color Club. I am impressed! I bought three colors from this collection and I'm excited to try the other two!

Wink was a thicker polish, so I only needed two coats. One thing that always wins me over with a polish is if it dries fast. This dried by the time I was done with my second hand. I plan on adding more color club to my collection. I would love to hear what your favorite brands are. I'm always looking for new ones to try.

Essie Midnight Cami

I wish I was able to do this color justice. Essie Midnight Cami is a deep shimmering blue. You can see the shimmer in the bottle but I could not capture it on the nail. Two reasons for this I think. 1. I put on way too much. I used three thick coats and that's why it looks so dark. 2. I was hoping to take these pictures outside but the sun was not out. I did think the formula was thick anyways, so I should have used a light hand. I topped this off with China Glaze Fast Forward. I think is a color that I will be using often!

After a day I decided to dress Midnight Cami up a little more. I topped it with Nfu-Oh 39. I love their flakies!! Can you see the blue and green. I like watching it change in the light.

I'm really glad I finally decided to purchase some Nfu-Oh polishes. I mentioned before that I had one color stain my nails but I think it should have been used as a top coat instead of just a regular polish.

Revlon Black With Envy

Ah, what a great color! Revlon Black With Envy is a dark charcoal black. Word in the blog world is that this is a dupe for Chanel Black Pearl. Unfortunately, I can't justify spending 25$ on a polish. I've noticed that Chanel has raised their prices on the polish. The polish formula was a bit thick for Black Envy. If I wasn't fast enough with my brush strokes, it kinda of clumped up. I used three coats (I had to use a third coat to cover up some of the clumping) and topped with China Glaze Fast Forward.

I have been using a light box to take my pictures lately. In Iowa the weather likes to be 80 and sunny one week, then cloudy, rainy and in the 40's the next. So I have not seen the sun in a couple days....Dear sun, I miss you! Please return soon. Thank you! My blog sale is still going on. Please check it out. This is my first one and there is a ton of stuff! Until next time, Don't spill your polish:)

Orly Bubbly Bombshell

I haven't been to sleep yet. Yeah it's 8am. Oh well. So in my local Ulta on Sunday I was wandering around looking for some polish...of course. I wasn't finding anything that was catching my eye. I did one more loop and then wait...on the bottom of that shelf...is that the new Orly Pin Up collection display??? I think it is. Well I snagged up all four colors. I could not understand why Ulta had it but Transdesign will not have it out until 7/1/11. Hmmmm.....
Look at this color! It's like a fuschia glitter exploded on my nails!! It was sheer so I used four coats and topped with Seche Vite. I plan on experimenting layering it over cream polishes.

I like this picture above because you can how it really sparkles. When I wear stuff like to work, my customers definitely notice!

An Oldie But A Goodie....And A Tiny Rant

I know, I know. This is an older OPI color. Suzi Says Feng Shui came out in the Hong Kong collection for spring 2010. I didn't receive this until this past Christmas. Yes, I am just now wearing it. I LOVE it!! It's somewhat of a dusty blue and is a tad more muted in person. This is two coats topped with Seche Vite.

Ok, and now onto the rant. I didn't post anything the past couple days because I put on Nfu-Oh 52 on April 15th. We all know that I have solar nails on because my real nails suck. Well I went to take off 52 and it would not come off!!! I worked all weekend with stained, ugly nails. I tried non-acetone and acetone. When I went to get my nails done, the tech couldn't get it off either!! They had to file it off:( I learned my lesson though...I will only layer this over another color! It was pretty though. It was a crappy, quick manicure that didn't deserve a picture lol.

Zoya Jules

I received this color when Zoya had its Intimate collection on sale for 25$. Jules is a sparkling neutral light taupe with gold, silver and champagne metallic shimmer. I was surprised I liked this color so much. I don't know if it necessarily goes with my skin tone but oh well. The formula was perfect. This is three coats topped with China Glaze Fast Forward.

Zoya keeps impressing me with their colors, promos, and definitely customer service. They are a great company!!!
I have been using Qtica Intense Cuticle Repair Balm. I like how it sinks into the skin. Now I just have to stop picking at my cuticles.

Nails From The Past Few Days...

The first color I have here is Baptiste from Illamasqua. It is a deep royal purple with a shimmer finish. I like this purple but I feel like I have many purples that look like this in my collection. One thing about Illamasqua is that I don't think it is 3 free like most polishes today. Honestly....I don't really care.

The next color is Reva by Zoya. It just recently came out in their Sunshine collection for the summer. I must say this is a great summer color. It can be described as a cool toned strawberry red with glowing golden metallic sparkle. I don't own much in the red/pink family but I did enjoy this color. I think the sparkle in it helped. It still seemed a little 'bam!' to me.

Is there anything specific you guys would like to see? Just let me know!!

China Glaze Awaken

Awaken is from the Romantique collection that was from the 2009 China Glaze spring collection. This has become one of my favorite 'grays'. It is a blue-charcoal metallic. The formula wasn't to thick or to thin. This is two coats topped with Seche Vite. I think some metallics can look tacky. This was more subtle than others I've tried. Anyways, it's really nice out, I'm going to enjoy it!

Zoya Matte..Phoebe

Phoebe is from Zoya Mod Matte collection. This came out with the summer time collection. I got this with the buy one get one promotion they had. This is after a couple days of wear. It held up pretty well without a topcoat. I really like this matte. I think more companies should do them. It still has somewhat of a sheen. Also a great blue. Short sentences today, short post.

Zoya Poppy

So I went to get my nails done today and chose the color Poppy from Zoya. It's a different color for me. I thought it was very springy. Love my cuticles? LOL.
