Goodbye....

Not like that guys!! Today I went to get my solar nails taken off and new ones put on. Well, I was like wow my nails are kind of long. So I had my favorite manicurist buff them all shiny like. So here they are again, my real nails. It's going to be touch and go for awhile. They are pretty thin and I had to use three coats of OPI nail envy. I'm not going to lie, I miss the durability of solar nails. I probably won't last a week lol!! I have crappy nails anyways. I think it's kind of ironic. Totally love nail polish and love doing my nails but mine suck. Ok enough about my nails....

I love Zoya! They are a fantastic company. For their summer collection they did a buy one get one free. Yeah, I picked up 14. Real quick I want to address some of the comments on Facebook after Zoya announced the promo. People were bitching galore!!! A company is doing something great and offering great promos...ALL THE TIME...Why complain? Your getting an 8$ polish for 4$ and they offered 2$ expedited shipping. Anyways...Here is Mira from the Summertime collection. Zoya describes it as 'Blue toned medium purple with dusty lavender tones and an opaque cream finish. For a muted yet colorful purple that isn't too dark'. It's not the most original but still great!

I am still wrestling with my cuticles. I noticed at work that I pick at them when I'm irritated. Pick something up from the new Zoya collection!!

French Affair!

Do you ever do your nails and they look so nice and then...dammit...you bump the bottle of polish or the edge of your table and you smeared your fresh manicure. Well this is what happened the first time I wore Essie's Coat Azure from the French Affair collection. I think the pictures look nice but as soon as I was done taking them, I screwed up my nails so bad that I took it off. This is a really pretty medium blue with shimmer. It's a little lighter than in the pictures. The sun hasn't been coming around that much. The only thing I wish about this polish is that it was thinner. I just have such a hard time working with thick polish. I know I just need to go buy some thinner....such a simple solution lol.

My cuticles are completely ruined right now. I have been working a lot and washing my hands all the time makes them really dry. Lotion and cuticle oil is not helping that much. If anyone has any advice, send it this way.

Nars Purple Rain

Perfect name considering it's been raining and gloomy out the past two days. I had to take these pictures inside...I did my best. This is a great purple. It has become one of my favorites.

It's kind of hard to see but their are blue and pink flecks in the polish. As a nail polish lover, picking a color to wear at my wedding is important (I think you nail polish lovers understand!). This is definitely a contender!!

Happy St. Patty's Day....Yesterday

So, I wanted to post this on Thursday but the sun did not corporate. I used Zoya Ivanka, which is one of may favorites. I thought I was done but then decided to top it with Nfu Oh 39. It added a little pop.

Sorry for short post, busy this weekend.

I Finally Did It!!!!

So last week I went on a search on Ebay for some of the China Glaze OMG colors. I knew that these suckers can go for 10-20$. I didn't care! So I ordered three of them that I really liked in swatch pictures. I grabbed up DV8, LOL, and QT. Here we have DV8. It's a gorgeous, lighter, holographic blue. Can you see the rainbow? I took a bunch of pictures to try and grab the awesomeness of this color!!

Hopefully you guys already have this color or it's on your wish list. If you have the Tronica collection...This does not compare to that!

DROOL......

This manicure makes me drool.....Two coats of OPI Lincoln Park After Dark. I then topped it with Nubar 2010 (which is a clearer flaky polish), then Seche Vite to seal the deal. Okay picture time. I took a bunch to capture all the colors. There's orange, green, yellow and I've seen a touch of red

So what does everyone think? I can't wait to try this over other colors. You can order yourself your own flaky polish over HERE. I think I received free shipping and my package came within a couple days.

Orly Witch's Blue

This wonderful blue is Orly Witch's Blue. It has a slight shimmer and the formula wasn't to thick or thin. I used 3 coats and topped with Seche Vite.

Another Tronica.....

One thing I like about the China Glaze Tronica collection is that when I need to do a fast, quick drying manicure, I can count on these colors. Here I have Hyper Haute. I really enjoy this raspberry pink color. I'm usually really picky about my pinks and don't wear them to often. I do like the 'halo' finish. Of course I know the big complaint is that these are not true halos. I finally caved and bought DV8, QT, and LOL from the OMG collection so I can experience a true halo. They go for a nice little penny on eBay. I'm really excited though and I plan on doing comparisons.

On another note I'd like to explain my on how I will continue to do my blog posts. I don't buy whole collections, only the colors I like. I have no order on the colors I wear. I just pick whatever I feel like for the day. So you'll see stuff from old collections and new. Of course I don't plan on repeat colors:)

Ewww....

Ok, first this manicure I did sucks!! I used China Glaze Flyin' High and Models Own Turkish Delight on my pointer finger. I was really tired when I did this. I didn't do anything with my cuticles and they are so dry that I need to manage them every day. If you look closely at my pinky I scuffed it a little bit and I totally smeared my thumb. I usually love China Glaze but this color was bad. I used two coats of each color and topped it with Seche Vite. Flyin' High is really thick and hard to work with. It is a great color though. If anyone is reading this, would it help to use nail polish thinner? Turkish Delight went on great. I posted this because I did want to show off both colors.

I Feel Like I Have Faded Purple Skinny Jeans On My Nails

I have another wonderful color from OPI Suede Collection. Lincoln Park After Dark is a great color (Of course there is the normal formula also). One thing I love about this collection is that it dries so fast!! I used two coats and topped it with Seche Vite. Before the top coat it does look like jean material. Overall, this is a great polish and if I come across anymore colors from the suede collection, I might just have to snag them up!

On another note, I finally caved and bought a few colors from the China Glaze OMG collection. Of course I had to purchase them on Ebay. I ordered DV8, LOL, and QT. The prices were reasonable. I can't wait to receive them and swatch them for you. Also might do a comparison between OMG and Tronica.

Mmm Mmm Sparkle-iscious

This color came out with the OPI Burlesque collection that came out over the holidays. It is called Sparkle-iscious!!!

Isn't this such a great color? Very simple with just blue, purple and gold sparkles. The combination though makes the color really pop!

Digital Dawn

Oh boy, it has been an interesting week so far. I was doing a really good job posting at least once a day or every other day. Oh, but I had to go to the hospital this week. Has everyone heard that kidney stones are more painful than child birth? Well they freaking hurt. It's kind of funny because I was in a car accident two and half weeks ago. I rolled my car twice. I was really sore and had a lot of pain on my left side (that what side of my body slammed into the door). Well, about a week and half later I was having this extreme pain on my right side. I contributed it to the car accident and put up with it for over a week before going to the ER. Low and behold I was the proud new owner of a kidney stone!! Anyways I am home now and am excited to post again.

This manicure was something I did before i went to the hospital. It is Digital Dawn from the new Tronica collection by China Glaze.

I was surprised I like this color. I reminded me of really soft sand. Like I said before with the other Tronica colors, this dries extremely fast! Which is something I think we all love. This only needed two coats and I topped with China Glaze Fast Forward.
